What is My IP Address

When you visit a site, watch a video, or play a game, your device uses your IP address to connect to the Internet. My Internet Service Provider assigns me an IP address. For example, my IP address could be 39.48.125.210 or 182.176.45.101. Each user has a unique IP address. It can change over time. My IP address helps route data to the destination on the internet.

When I visit a website, my browser sends a request. The website server looks up my IP address. Sends a response. Then the website loads on my screen. We cannot communicate on the internet without an IP address. My IP address is like a code that helps me get online.
